Abstract
Sleep deprivation is the condition of not having enough sleep and plays an important role in thinking and learning. Lack of sleep and sleep disorders can contribute to the symptoms of depression. Sleep loss also causes the body to release too little human growth hormone. According to a study, those who had cut their sleep from seven to five hours a night nearly doubled their risk of death from all causes. Present paper emphasizes on the study of symptoms and effects of sleep deprivation in young adults. The aim of the study was to examine the effects which the most frequent sleep disorders have on adults’ health, knowing that at least 30% of the population suffers from some sort of sleep disturbance.
