Abstract
This study is carried out to review various research works carried out by researchers on the effects of poor traffic management on road. Poor traffic management causes early increases in accidents and obstacles in the road causing a blockage road as pointed out by researchers. To prevent or minimize premature accidents and achieve the safe and efficient movement of people and goods on roadways, to enhance the performance of the road. Traffic engineering is that branch of engineering which deals with the improvement of traffic performance on the road networks and terminals through systematic traffic studies, scientific analysis, and engineering applications. Traffic engineering includes planning and geometric design on one hand and regulation and control on the other. Traffic Engineering, therefore, deals with the application of scientific principles, tools, techniques, and findings for the safe, rapid, economical, and efficient movement of people and goods. In this project, first of all, we decided to select a particular area i.e. Sat Rasta Chowk to plan the signals, pedestrian, information board, and zebra crossing with proper planning and, we try to minimize the accident points in that particular area i.e. Sat Rasta Chowk. The review concluded that the effect of poor traffic management conditions on a road is very adverse. It causes the number of accidents on road.
