Abstract
Post COVID-19, the eating habits of localities has drastically changed. This study aims to find the effect on food habit of the regional and social group post COVID-19. The complete or partial lockdown has impacted on cultural food. Ethnicity refers to a social group which shares different distinctive such as language, religion, values, and customs. Ethnic food culture and taste of different region was affected by COVID-19 pandemic as trends toward unfavourable dietary behaviour’s during the lockdown such as increased caloric intake, more frequent snacking, reduced consumption of ethnic and regional foods. To assess the study, the descriptive methodology of research has been adopted. A sampling method under cluster sampling wherein regional and social group is formed for the research analysis which details the socio-cultural and its influence on ethnic food habits and traditional foods before COVID -19. The interview questionnaire is structured to find the impact on food habits post COVID-19. Finding of the study is to brings out the demographic expansion of ethnic food alongside the impact on ethnic food habit post COVID-19 defining as food originating from a culture of an ethnic group. The survey based on various cultures brings out its very important role in the selection of food and food habits.
