Networking Smartphones for Disaster Recovery Using Teamphone

In this paper, we examine how to use networks with smartphones for providing communications in disaster recovery. By lessening the communication gap among different kinds of wireless networks, we have designed and implemented a system called TeamPhone, which provides Android phones the capabilities on communications in disaster helper. TeamPhone consists of two components: a messaging system between rescue worker and a victim and a self-rescue system. The messaging system between rescue worker and victim integrates cellular networking, ad-hoc networking, and opportunistic networking seamlessly, and enables proper communication. The self-rescue system finds different communication network ways for trapped survivors. Such a group of Android phones can cooperatively get the notification and send out emergency messages in an energy-efficient manner with their location and position information so as to help rescue operations. We have implemented TeamPhone as a prototype application on the Android platform and deployed it on all types of smartphones from Samsung to Redmi and others. Results demonstrate that TeamPhone can properly enhance communication requirements and increase the pace of disaster recovery. We are creating three applications with a centralized cloud for communication. First for an admin who will monitor victim and rescue worker on Google map and other two for rescue worker and disaster victim.

Unified Computing System- PC Without CPU

The unified computing system is designed in this project. The main server is also known as the data center with x86 Intel xenon processors is used in this project along with switches, routers with CISCO Proprietary Protocols and models. computing devices for virtual distribution of computers. This project is a combination of networking (Including Classless and classful Routing, Switching, Tunneling), compute, storage access, virtualization, cloud computing and web server. It allows users to use many computers with the personalized operating system but without any CPU configuration, the terminal will only contain input and output devices which will be connected to the N computing devices through LAN Network specifying different IP’s to each and every terminal which will be virtual.

Composites Classification and Manufacturing Operations: A Review

A composite material is composed of two or more dissimilar constituents with one constituent as the reinforcing phase and the other as the matrix. These constituents do not dissolve in each other and they work together to give the composite special properties which makes it widely used in different aspects of industry. This paper covers the classification of composite materials and a number of the manufacturing processes used in their production.

Power Quality Improvement by Diode Clamped Multilevel Inverter

The solution of power quality problem employ improved performance converters. Pulse width modulation converter has become an integral part of these improved performance converters, require high voltage, high-frequency switching devices. Recently multilevel inverters are being emerged as a viable solution of the conventional 2-level inverter for medium and high voltage applications with improved power quality. In this Paper a single phase five level diode clamped inverter is designed, developed and investigated for improve voltage quality in terms of harmonic distortion with reducing switching losses

Strategy for Flexible Spaces in Housing – A Study With Reference To Agraharams in Kumbakonam

Some spaces in architecture have been used in different applications. Hence let us think of some of these spaces which are flexible for the multi-purpose utiliZation of spaces. With the advances in technology the various elements which form the interior spaces such as the walls, floors. and roofs need not be designed in a rigid way. Such flexible options would give more options for flexibility to space and can be called as a multi-application’ space. Prehistoric man started constructing his dwelling using his own ideas. Where nature provided caves and trees were the two main paradigms which acted as shelter, stone, and wooden shelters then came into existence. The next stage progressed with the use of animal bones and skins of animals as he used plains for hunting and agriculture being an occupation. This architectural progression of using animal bones and skins gives an option to flexible opening and closing from the past. Hence from centuries back invention of lightweight structures been utilized by man. The main objective of flexible spaces in architecture is providing spaces that change structure pertaining to the required performance and application. Any space or structure that is designed for flexibility should be identified by their interior elements like a floor, ceiling, and walls where there is a scope of shrinking and expanding.
