Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregates with Waste Glass

The use of Waste Glass has recently gained popularity as a resource-efficient, durable, cost-effective, sustainable option for many types of Portland cement concrete (PCC) applications. The production of Portland cement is not only costly and energy-intensive, but it also produces large amounts of carbon dioxide. With the use of waste glasses available around the world at low costs, the use of Waste Glass seems to offer the best short-term solutions to rising river bed sand demand.

IOT Applications for Indian Based Farming and Hospitality Industry

Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things(IoT), which is the interconnection via the Internet of computing devices embedded in everyday objects, enabling them to send and receive data are hot discussions now in the trade of Indian based farming and hospitality industry. Cloud computing which is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer provides software usage, data access, data storage services and other computation through the Internet and facilitates customers to rent resources based on the pay-as-you-go model. Prompted by attaining a sustainable world, this paper also provides several technologies and issues regarding green cloud computing which is a buzzword that refers to the potential environmental benefits that information technology (IT) services delivered over the Internet can offer society and the green IoT targets at a sustainable smart world, by reducing the energy consumption of IoT, moreover it improves the discussion with the depletion in energy consumption of the two techniques Cloud Computing and Internet of Things combination in agriculture and healthcare systems. The hot green information and communications technologies (ICT’s) are enabling green Internet of Things will also be examined. Green computing establishment first and later focuses on the current works done relating to the two emerging technologies in both agriculture and healthcare cases. And also, this paper gives a knowledge by presenting Internet of Things application for Indian based farming and hospitality industry via sensor-cloud integration model. Last but not least it also, lists out the benefits, challenges, and future research directions regarding green application design. This experiment aims to make green area broad and contribution to sustainable application world.

A Study on Direct Oxidation of O-Toluidine by Potassium Bromate

O-Toluidine is a very specific reagent used widely in various Laboratory. It finds place in forensic medicines laboratory where human blood stains on various objects are tested and used for crime detection. Besides these O-Toluidine is utilized in synthesis of many useful organic compounds. A valuable report has been published on germicidal action of O-Toluidine. Thus selection of O-Toluidine for mechanistic studies seems interesting and inviting as well

Speech Enhancement Using Dual Transform-Normalized LMS Algorithm for Speech Recognition Application

Speech enhancement is one of the important preprocessing techniques required for any speech processing applications. This work represents dual channel speech enhancement where the desired signal is available and the input noisy speech is enhanced based on the reference signal, this method of speech enhancement can be used in robots where the machine can recognize the comments given by human. In this paper noisy and the desired speech signals are dual transformed using discrete cosine transform and Hadamard transform and applied to the adaptive filter using Normalized Least Mean Square algorithm. In NLMS the step size parameter is varying based on the input signal rather in LMS the step size is constant. This variable step size will lead to fast convergence of noisy speech towards desired speech and the enhanced signal gives better performance compared to conventional LMS algorithm. The performance analysis is done through various subjective and objective measures.

Review on Distribution System Reconfiguration for Minimizing Losses and Utilization of DG for Improvement in Voltage Profile

Power distribution networks are mostly operated in radial configuration. The dynamics of the distribution system operations often requires reconfiguration of the network. Distribution network reconfiguration is achieved by using sectionalizing switches that remain normally closed and tie switches that remain normally open. The main purpose of the reconfiguration is to minimize active power losses in order to improve distribution system performance addresses performance enhancement of distribution network with distributed generator (DG) integration using modified multi objective genetic (MG) algorithm. In aim of network reconfiguration is to minimize active power losses and to improve voltage quality. The constraints of network reconfiguration problem are load flow equations, upper and lower limits of bus voltages, and upper and lower limits of line currents. The effort of performance enhancement is done by using optimization of distribution network configuration. The objective of the optimization is minimizing active power loss and improving voltage profile while the distribution network is maintained in the radial structure. In this study, configuration optimization method is based on a modified MG algorithm.

Environmental Jurisprudence – A Journey from Vedic Culture to Supreme Court

Human civilized societies can flourish only when there is consistency and harmony among the various members of Earth community. Earth jurisprudence is the part of legal philosophy and of human governance and it is based on the idea that welfare of each member of community is based on the welfare of the earth as a whole. It seeks the relevancy of Earth community. One such area of its working is environment. The basic sense of environment protection is intrinsic in our ancient texts. At international level it is a concept, not more than a century old, but in Hinduism it was included in the ancient texts. As a result of international and national judicial interventions many principles have evolved potentially applicable to all member nations of international community in respect of protection of all aspects of environment. International legal Instruments have played a vital role in fostering environmental law , environment conservation and sustainable development . A number of treaties have been signed in order to achieve it. Various and numerous provisions are enshrined in our Constitution in order to prevent and protect environment. It is a Fundamental Right as well as a duty has also been casted upon the persons to preserve and conserve it. Our judiciary by passing various remarkable judgments and elucidating various principles has deeply and actively involved in achieving the targets of environmental Jurisprudence. The environmental jurisprudence is expanded enough through setting of committees, laying down principles and by creative and innovative thinking of various courts and judges.
