Management of kitchen waste by using the vermicomposting method in Solapur

Vermicomposting is a process in which earthworms are used to convert organic materials into humus-like material known as vermicompost. A number of researchers throughout the world found that the nutrient profile in vermicompost is generally higher than traditional compost. In fact, vermicompost can enhance soil fertility physically, chemically, and biologically. Physically, vermicompost-treated soil has better aeration, porosity, bulk density, and water retention. The chemical properties such as pH, electrical conductivity, and organic matter content are also improved for better crop yield. Nevertheless, the enhanced plant growth could not besat is factory explained by improvements in the nutrient content of the soil, which means that other plant growth influencing materials are available in the vermicomposts. Although vermicomposts have been shown to improve plant growth significantly, the application of vermicomposts at high concentrations could impede the growth due to the high concentrations of soluble salts available in the vermicomposts. Therefore, vermicomposts should be applied at moderate concentrations in order to obtain maximum plant yield. This review paper discussed in detail the effects of vermicompost on soil fertility physically, chemically, and biologically. Future prospects and economy on the use of organic fertilizers in the agriculture sector were also examined.

Gendered Occupations

Does a person's gender really affect their performance at work? The answer is yes. The idea is that these days we won't see a problem with a woman working for a man or a man working for a woman and wages, sexism, and gender classification in the workplace. This issue would be a social conflict due to the tensions between men and women within the workforce. This paper aims to contribute to a broader understanding of occupation by conceptualizing gender occupation as a theoretical tool to help scholars decipher the gender and politicized nature of the occupation. For certain jobs, just labeling them as "female" diminishes their influence, regardless of how many males are in the area. It seems that some occupations are so gender-specific that this has become an integral part of their de facto definition. Gender-specific job titles such as “midwife” and “postman” actively encourage the inclusion of gender in their definitions.

Mechanical characterization of E-Glass/Epoxy composite with a filler material as Ceramic Powder

Glass Fiber Reinforced Epoxy (GFRE) composites play a huge part in practically every aspect of daily life, and the subject of glass composites has become one of the most important study topics in the last decade. To improve mechanical qualities, polymers are usually reinforced with fibers or fillers. The mechanical properties of E-glass/Epoxy composites filled with ceramic materials as filler material were investigated in this study. Composites containing varying percentages of ceramic powder, such as 5%, 10%, and 15%. The ASTM-compliant testing specimen was created using the hand layup method. The mechanical parameters of the produced composites, such as ultimate tensile strength, flexural strength, and Rockwell hardness, were investigated. The test findings show that composites with a 5% volume fraction of Al2O3 filler material had the lowest hardness and therefore highest ultimate tensile strength.

The fundamentals of Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP)

neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a new field, concerned with people’s patterns of behavior and communication. Patterns include not only observable actions in the world but also the thinking processes and the organization of people’s states of mind as well as their emotions and how all senses are used to reach a point of attention or concentration. Many applications of NLP have been created as a result of its focus on constructing models of human excellence. Furthermore, NLP's global diffusion has been well documented, with corporate executives and consultants turning to the creative and inventive components of NLP for inspiration in organizational growth, total quality management, team building, and strategic planning. However, while there is a substantial body of knowledge about NLP in the Western Hemisphere, nothing is known about it in the Arab world. The purpose of this paper is twofold: to assess NLP patterns and behaviors as practiced by a sample of UAE employees and managers in order to shed light on current workplace practices in the UAE, and to assess the impact of NLP on respondents' behavior and its implications for the organization's objectives. As a result, a survey questionnaire is used to do a quantitative analysis. The sample population consists of employees and managers from various industries and work situations. The research's findings are expected to describe the workplace environment by identifying the dynamics of UAE employees and managers who are thought to play a vital part in the organization's health evaluation.

Awareness and perception of diet and nutrition in individuals with Diabetes Mellitus

Dietary knowledge and awareness in individuals with diabetes is an important aspect of diabetes management. Several studies have evaluated the awareness of diabetes among the diabetic population. However, limited studies have focused on the relation between nutrition awareness and dietary intake in Indian individuals with diabetes. The present study assessed the awareness and perception regarding the importance of nutrition in individuals with diabetes. It aimed at identifying the knowledge gaps by evaluating the relationship between nutritional awareness and dietary self-care behavior in Indian subjects with diabetes. The study design comprised a cross-sectional survey to assess the awareness about nutrition and nutrient intake in the diabetic population across India. A total of 1000 adults with diabetes were administered a diet recall using Nutri-Calculator, an app-based nutrient calculator, and a structured questionnaire. The nutrient calculator recorded food intake in a 24-hr recall and analyzed nutrient intake in comparison with the respective RDAs (Recommended Dietary Allowances). The nutrient intake report was generated at the end, that mentioned the current intake against the RDA for each survey respondent. The questionnaire evaluated the awareness and perception of the subjects regarding the foods and nutrients that are important in diabetes. The survey was conducted using computer-aided telephonic interview (CATI) methodology and each survey was screened for quality checks after completion. After the survey analysis, it was observed that the majority (95%) of the respondents were aware of the importance of protein intake in diabetes. Nearly, 86.5% assumed that they had an adequate intake of proteins; however, the nutrient intake analysis revealed only 14.8% of respondents were meeting their daily protein requirements. Out of the total respondents, it was observed that 92% of the respondents were aware of the importance of fiber intake in diabetes. Nearly, 81.4% assumed that they had adequate intake of fiber; however, the nutrient intake analysis revealed that only 21.2% of the respondents were consuming a diet adequate in fiber. Furthermore, it was found that the majority of the respondents did not meet the RDAs for micronutrients. Additionally, the study also revealed that dietary deficiency of macronutrients, namely fiber, and protein, resulted in greater hunger pangs in these individuals. In conclusion, the study revealed that the respondents were aware of the importance of protein and fiber in their diet; however, the majority of the respondents consumed a diet deficient in these nutrients as well as micronutrients. This dietary deficiency could have led to an increased frequency of hunger pangs in these individuals. Furthermore, most of the respondents were unaware that a low glycemic index diet is beneficial in the management of diabetes. The study highlighted the need for an effective diet and lifestyle counseling for the management of diabetes.

The relationship between customers’ monthly income and perception towards e-banking

This descriptive study aimed to measure customers' perceptions towards e-banking services provided by Yemeni banks and to find out whether the customers' monthly income is related to their perception of the service. The sample included 189 respondents. Data was collected online using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The statistical tests applied for data analysis were frequency descriptive analysis, one way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The study revealed that the perception of Yemeni customers towards E-banking is high, there is no difference in perception towards e-banking services among users who have different monthly income and there is no relationship between monthly income and customers' perception towards e-banking services.
