Are we doing justice to our citizens? Public financing of healthcare in developing countries with special reference to India

Public expenditure in health care has accounted for a rising proportion of national income in the current and previous centuries and this is regardless of their level of economic development. In this context, the central idea of the paper is to analyze the degree and volume of public health financing systems in developing countries [lower and middle-income countries (LMICs)] with a focus on India. The indicators selected include per capita income of the country (in PPP USD terms), life expectancy at birth (LEB) of the total population, infant mortality rate (IMR), the share of total health care expenditure (THE) as a proportion of GDP, government health expenditure (GHE) as a proportion of total health care expenditure (THE), private health expenditure (PHE) as a proportion of total health care expenditure (THE), etc. A positive relationship between the per capita income of the country and its corresponding health care resource commitment. In average terms, public sources contribute 45 percent of health financing, while the rest is by private means. Countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Seira Leone spend relatively low from public sources. Life expectancy is having a positive relationship with total health care spending in the countries analyzed. Given the context of serious market failures and government failures, the low-income country populations are in a vicious cycle of ill-health and poverty. Public spending is a major way of removing the clutches of deprivation. Scholars suggest that rich people gain more from public subsidies in education and health than do poor people for four sets of reasons: private costs, differential costs and benefits, patterns of government expenditure, and rationing.

Warehouse Security System

For ages, Agriculture is one of the main areas in terms of income for Farmers. Proper food storage has a very important role when it comes to food security that is affected by both food loss and food wastage. Food product losses can be avoided, which is automatic increases food availability. In this report, we are proposing an IoT-enabled warehouse monitoring system to deploy in remote areas where the very minimum accessibility for farmers with good security facilities reduces losses of food and increases the safety of food. This framework will monitor warehouse parameters such as Humidity, temperature, Smoke, and motion, which can affect grains. The ESP32 WiFi microcontroller module collects the data from the different sensors and sends data to the Blynk App dashboard, WhatsApp, and Telegram App. Many numbers of these IoT nodes can be installed inside the warehouse and which will get information about the warehouse environment to the farmers through Blynk, Telegram, and WhatsApp notifications to alert the user. Along with the security inside the warehouse, this proposed system also monitors the entry door of the warehouse to alert the farmer if any strange person wants to enter the warehouse. In such a situation, the photo of the person will be captured by the ESP32 CAM and send to the Telegram App of the farmer to allow or not to allow him inside. If the farmer authorizes the person, then, the person can enter inside the premises of the warehouse.

Effect of social media-based counseling on study habits of distance learners

In this modern era of technological advancements, teaching-learning activities along with counseling get privileged with the use of information communication technology for enriching the quality. In this concern, social media has played a significant role in teaching and taught interaction, especially in the field of distance education. Study habits play an important role in distance learning. However, it is difficult to understand the level of study habits on the part of distance learners. The main objectives of this study were to ascertain the study habits of distance learners with and without social media-based counseling and compare the result. It has also tried to compare study habits of distance learners with respect to their gender and discipline of study. About 80 distance students were taken as a sample of the study. The post-test-only experimental design was taken as methodology. It was found that the study habits of students gone through social media-based counseling were high in comparison to traditional counseling. It is also found that there exists no significant difference between male and female distance learners with respect to their study habits. A similar result was also obtained for their discipline of study. It is evident from the study that there exist strong correlations between learners' access to social media and their study habits. It is suggested that distance education institutions must encourage social media-based counseling for their learners in order to enhance their study habits.

Branding Women as Pseudo- Feminists: Taking Away Women’s Rights to be Angry Against Injustice

As per Merriam-Webster (2021), Feminism can be defined as the advocacy of and belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes expressed on behalf of women's rights and interests. One of the popular terms that are being increasingly used to describe modern feminists is 'pseudo-feminist. This paper reflects on the origin and meaning of the term pseudo-feminism to ascertain whether the use of such a term takes away women's right to be angry against injustice. Through careful consideration of the injustices encountered by women historically and different approaches to feminism, the paper establishes that the use of terms like pseudo-feminism undermines feminist causes and unfairly demands women to be not angry with the gender who have since time immemorial spewed injustice against them.

Role of Information Technology in mass customization of the manufacturing process

The current manufacturing sector is defined by rapid globalization, arbitrary and heterogeneous markets, and a high rate of products customization. Considering the factor of mass customization, the review paper explores the impact of information technology (IT) in tailor-making electronic goods as per customer demands in India. The paper efficiently extrapolates the benefits of Mass Customization (MC) in a manufacturing sector and later measures its intensity when IT (Industry 3.0 application and then Industry 4.0) is applied in unison with it. Supply chain management is an important phase of manufacturing products that can be made proficient in MC by introducing IT applications like Customer Relationship Management and Enterprise Resource Planning. Through the use of IT, supply chain planning and supply chain integration can significantly enhance the supply chain of business in saving cost, resources, and can initiate better management between coordinators along with facilitating the systematic flow of information at every stage. Besides, substantiating the benefits and ways in which MC can adequately cope with individual demands, the review also dispenses information about the common challenges faced by the company in abiding MC mechanism. The main findings and discussion will evidently state the use of IT in MC manufacturing processes of consumer electronic products. The review also discusses the state-of-the-art technologies currently used for MC. Industry 4.0 applications are widely used to seek better outcomes of customization. IT with industry 4.0 applications like Big Data, Internet of Things, and Cloud Computing can help in further broadening the scope of MC manufacturing.

Lane detection and object detection system steering advisory for driver

Lane detection and tracking modules are now regarded as essential in the development of an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). Different vision-based algorithms that are being used in autonomous vehicles to determine road lanes are presented, reviewed, and compared in this proposed work. The main components are lane departure, lane tracking, collision avoidance, driver assistance system. Lane departure component assists in keeping the vehicle stable on the desired lane on the road. The front collision avoidance component will detect the road's frontal obstruction and shows up a pre-collision/proximity warning signal. The notice is based on the vehicle's speed and the object's distance from the cars. According to current research, the system can only identify one lane marking set in real-time and is unable to provide extra lanes for assistance in scenarios such as lane closures, road repairs, and car accidents that impede the driving lane. The project proposes a method for determining the marking of two lanes that might be used in conjunction with a detecting system to detect obstructions on the road ahead of the vehicle. This method takes a strong approach to lane detection and performs admirably in a variety of lane types.
