Review of heat exchanger for subcooling of liquid Nitrogen in GM cryocooler

The heat exchanger is a device that exchanges heat between two flow lines. The goal of this article is to emphasize and presents briefly the heat exchanger designs used for liquefaction of nitrogen gas and subcooling of liquefied gas. Different researchers proposed various heat exchanger designs for liquefaction and subcooling of liquid nitrogen. Liquefied nitrogen gas has many applications. In this article, the heat exchanger designs developed by researchers over time for effective subcooling of liquid nitrogen are addressed and studied. Further content is focused on increasing the effectiveness of this type of heat exchanger for effective subcooling. The gaps in research identified and mentioned in the article.

Anterior fractured tooth restoration using fiber-reinforced composite: A case report

Anterior teeth fracture is one of the most common types of complaints in the dental office. It affects not only the function and speech of the patient but also the emotional and psychological well-being of the patient due to esthetic concerns. The reconstruction of the structurally compromised anterior tooth is of great challenge to dentists. Conventional composite restoration is the choice of restoration in such cases, but strength is an issue. To provide longevity and strength to restorations fiber-reinforced composites can be used in such cases. In the present article esthetic rehabilitation of anterior fractured tooth using fiber reinforced composites is presented.

Interactive inverter for grid-tied solar power generation

Presently a lot of work is being carried out in held of distributed generation. Many distributed generation systems are being designed and connected to the electric grid. At a time when the predictable sources of energy such as coal, oil, etc are fast vanishing, a study of distributed generation systems and building of such systems using renewable energy sources becomes very main. When a DG source is being connected to the grid, there are many constraints to be met one of which is the harmonic content of the current being injected into the grid. The current being injected should have harmonic content compliant to standards such as IEEE This project deals mainly with building the hardware for a grid-interactive inverter. This means that a proper scheme should be present in the system to limit the harmonic current inoculation into grid. The hardware is customized to be used for a PV panels based distributed generation system. In this work, Liters are designed to eliminate only the higher-order harmonics. This is due to the reason that liters would be less bulky and cheap when they are designed to attenuate only the higher-order harmonics. In order to mitigate the lower order harmonics, an adaptive selective harmonic elimination technique (AHE) is used. The validity of the AHE technique is varied in hardware. Overall, the project work involves the building of the inverter hardware, the Liters, transformer and design and implementation of closed-loop control along with AHE scheme.

Effectiveness of online teacher education program- A case study

Teachers have to perform multiple roles like academic facilitators, transmitters of knowledge, organizers, and guides. In order to enable teachers to meet these professional expectations, concerned stakeholders work hard to design teachers' training course design, exposure about pedagogical practices is given, updation of knowledge and skills is ensured through in-service teacher training programs. In-service teacher training help teachers to evolve and adapt to the fast-changing global scenario. The spread of the COVID 19 virus forced educators to design and opt for online ways of fostering the professional capabilities of teachers to enable them to get connected to their students through various online modes. The present study focuses on the need and ways of online training for teachers so that they can reduce the learning deficit caused due to corona pandemic. The factors like course design, mode of transaction, hours spent, degree of participation, the competence of teacher educators, exposure, and expertise to use technology add to the effectiveness of any online program. An effective online teacher training program brings desirable behavioral changes in terms of knowledge, skills, and beliefs of the participants.

Effect of Reinforced Aerocon Block Infill And Double Diagonal RCC Strut RC Frames Under Cyclic Loading

Traditional infill materials considerably influence the holistic response of framed structures due to their increased strength and stiffness. At present, aerocon autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks have widespread use around the world as a prospective infill material. Hence, a smaller scale prototype of a RC frame with Reinforced Aerocon Block Infill was constructed in the laboratory to evaluate its performance under lateral loading. Also, to enhance the load carrying capacity and stiffness characteristics, RC frame with Double Diagonal RC Strut was constructed and tested under lateral loading. This study is intended to investigate the behaviour of RC Frame with Reinforced Aerocon Block Infill and RC Frame with Double Diagonal RC Strut under lateral loading. The load-carrying capacity, Stiffness degradation, Ductility factor , Cumulative ductility factor and Energy dissipation capacity of the RC frames had been documented. The response of the frames showed the complete behaviour of the RC frames under lateral loading. the infill contribution to the overall structural performance, significant enhancement of stiffness, strength and energy dissipation of frame is evident. Compression diagonal failure was eliminated in the brick infill by the presence of reinforcement layers.

Android dictionary application in Android studio

For Students, Teachers and any individual across the world, Dictionary plays a significant role in their life in variety of ways. For instance, with the help of dictionaries, Students can understand their subjects better, improve their communication, and improve their grades by using the words correctly. For medical professionals, a dictionary consisting of medical terms, sorted alphabetically, will be helpful for quick reference. The first ever dictionaries are in the form of books, available even now in any bookstore. But they consume lot of time in searching and the risk of losing them or pages being torn-out is high. With the evolution of technology, it is now much easier to search the unfamiliar words on search engines such as google, etc., with an active internet connection. This advancement is much efficient than the custom book-form, yet is far from the best. This is because of some factors like battery consumption, internet charges, etc., that are evident with using search engines. Thus, the need for developing an android dictionary app is in excess. There are some offline dictionary apps that exist before which fulfill the basic requirement of providing meaning for a word or they’re just limited to few features. But they do not provide more features altogether in one app that would help user understand better. For example, a “Easy English Dictionary Offline Voice Word Meaning” app available in the google playstore does not contain features like antonyms, word sharing and it also doesn’t give the context in which the word can be used. In order to take care of all these issues, we created a platform where the user finds all advanced features of the dictionary in a single app. This helps them improve their language and expand their domain of vocabulary. This offline app is developed by using Java for back-end and XML for front-end development, SQLite Database for database creation, and with Android Studio as IDE. This paper gives an understanding about how our application is a package of many features available together, which a dictionary should essentially incorporate in order to provide the user with utmost understanding. In our app, we provide features like definitions, synonyms, antonyms, examples and pronunciations to the words using Text-To-Speech class. The main aspect which distinguishes and makes our app special from the other offline apps is its sharing feature. When a user browses through any document/site on his mobile and comes across a word that he/she is unfamiliar with, the word can be simply shared to the app from that document/site itself. The app then displays the word with its definition, synonyms, etc. This eliminates the extra effort and time spent in opening the app and then searching the word.
