Cartoonify Image using Bilateral Filter and Adaptive Threshold

In the ever evolving technology and research in various domains processing of an image which having an object in an image, finding out dimensions, the objects count, changing images to blurring effect and providing animated features are given appreciation in the modern world involving media and communication. There are multiple properties in image processing. Each of property helps to produce image with more clarity. Each image is looked through various grids. Each picture element is together viewed as a 2-D matrix. With each cell storing different individual pixel values corresponding to every cell of picture element.

Development and performance evaluation of interlocking bricks using industrial waste materials

Red brick is a basic building material used in the construction of buildings. In the ever-growing construction field, Civil Engineers are searching for new building materials based on economy, durability and efficiency. It should also be eco-friendly. This project aims to create low cost, eco-friendly, sustainable and durable system for the construction of load-bearing walls using the Interlocking Bricks (IB). It is a mortar-less masonry system and cement is also not used in brick manufacturing. The interlocking brick is made using waste materials (i.e. fly ash & GGBS) and hydraulic lime as binder. Mix proportions are varied based on the proportion of waste materials. Comparison of interlocking brick and conventional brick on the basis of compressive strength & water absorption of the brick unit. It was found that interlocking brick composed of 55% of fly ash, 25% of GGBS and 20% of lime had the best results in all the tests. The compressive strength was 30% higher than the conventional red bricks. The interlocking brick wall panel was tested by applying axial compressive load and software analysis is carried out using ANSYS 2021 R1 to compare it with the experimental results to find the degree of accuracy between theoretical and experimental models. Cost analysis is done to compare the rate of construction with conventional red brick masonry and was found that it was almost 40% cheaper.

Kesla Smart Lock

The information-sharing aspect of information technology is playing a major role in all kinds of business either it’s a non-profit organization or a profit organization. Now a day, all types of business requirements and adopt the facility of advertisement to promote their services and products. Digital advertisement is the current requirement of modern businesses and the information world. Security plays a major role where a Huge amount and expensive things are going to be stored (lockers, personal lockers, house purpose, etc…). The proposed system provides more benefits over a traditional lock, as well as great security. The KEY consists of a Fingerprint Sensor and 16x2 LCD along with a PICI8F452 microcontroller. The LOCK consists of a microcontroller along with a servo motor. Users can perform operations such as locking and unlocking the locker or door. The aim of this project is to make such type of lock which will provide more security as well as cost-efficient implementation. Electronic KEY consists of Fingerprint Sensor as input and LCD display as output device and microcontroller as controlling unit. The Fingerprint Sensor should provide to unlock the key which is set by the user. On the other option, Fingerprint Sensor changing option is gives more security, that only authorized persons can do it. Thus the security of this system is ensured.

Review of the impact of residual stresses on various parameters during a wire-cut EDM cutting process

Wire cut EDM is a very sophisticated technique that is utilized in precision manufacturing. Because of the tiny residual stresses that exist inside a grain, mostly as a consequence of the existence of dislocations and other crystalline defects, residual stresses produced during cutting operations must be taken into consideration. The primary goal of this study is to give an overview of current developments in the field of residual stress generation and their impact on different factors such as surface roughness, dielectric material utilized, and pulse on time during wire cut EDM. Examine the methods for measuring residual stress briefly as well.

Blood bank management system

Blood is a fundamental component of the human body that is essential for human life; it delivers nutrients and oxygen to all body cells, and we chose the blood bank as our paper because of its significance. A real-time central blood bank management system based on Firebase was created to aid in the management of donor and seeker records, bloodstock monitoring, and providing a service that assures patients have speedy access to blood donors of any sort, whether volunteers, hospitals, or blood banks. The system was designed in such a way that both web-based and android-based platforms are being used. The web platform is used by blood bank system administrators to update available bloodstock information, manage blood requests and donor requests, and the mobile platform is used to search for blood supplies from registered blood banks or hospitals and motivates donors to donate blood by reminding them through notifications. As a result, this platform will play a critical role in making blood quickly available for patients in need, boosting the chances of saving their lives.

Study on acoustic properties of natural fiber reinforced light weight concrete

Fibers and foams are commonly used in commercial solutions in acoustic applications because of their excellent sound absorption coefficient at high frequencies [1, 2]. The present study focuses on improving the sound absorption property of lightweight concrete by adding coconut fibers in different proportions (0.5%, 1%, and 1.5%) in concrete where fine aggregate is replaced by 7% perlite. Gypsum is added to replace 10% cement to make the concrete lightweight and also to perform as a good sound absorber. A foaming agent is also added to improve the porous property of the concrete [2]. The acoustic absorption coefficient is determined using the impedance tube method-ISO 10534- 1:1996 [7]. The responses from the tests performed are compared and the results are analyzed. The results show that the addition of fiber increases sound absorption property and also the addition of perlite and gypsum which makes the concrete lightweight also has a significant impact.
