A methodology towards securing a web portal using XML encryption

An online shopping system permits a costumer to submit online orders for items from a store . A Web portal acts as a gateway to the internet. Web portals provide a single point of access to a variety of content and core services, and offer a single sign-on point. The main challenge for online shopping portals is to provide security for the transactions involved. Customers, usually need to enter their crucial information like credit card number, debit card number etc. to buy products. Today most of the shopping portals use Secured Socket Layer (SSL) to transfer crucial data .This system was capable of providing good end-to-end security. But, it is unable to encrypt only a small part of the stored information; so a large cipher text is generated. To overcome this issue , new system is proposed here, which makes use of XML Encryption to provide security for transactions by generating a compact cipher text, which is transferred over the net as an XML document file. In this paper work the development of secured web portal is undertaken. Online shopping portals are new way for marketing hence must be designed in a creative but simple manner so that it is easy for the users to transact from it. There is need to analyse this new player by applying XML encryption which provides end-to-end security for applications that require secure exchange of structured data.

Speed control of field controlled DC servo motor by using tuning technique of fuzzy logic PID controllers and classical PID controllers and comparative analysis

This paper give solution of tuning technique of PID (Proportional integral derivative) controller by using Ziegler-Nichols and fuzzy logic technique applied in speed control of field controlled DC servomotor. The proportional, integral and derivate (KP, KI, KD) gains of the PID controller are regulate according to fuzzy logic technique. The Fuzzy logic Proportional integral derivative FLPID controller is designed according to fuzzy rules. Twenty five self tuning rules are programmed for PID controller. Two inputs are applied to PID controller one for speed error actual speed and the second is rate of change in speed error. The Parameter of PID controllers are used to control the speed of the DC Motor. The MATLAB model for speed control of DC motor using fuzzy logic is easy and less calculation required. The results proof that the designed self-tuned PID controller perform optimum speed control of DC motor, and compared the FLPID conventional PID controller.

Case Study

Flaw detection in low alloy steels butter welds using advanced technique for productivity improvement

The fast changing economic conditions customer demand for high quality product, product variety and reduced lead–time etc. had a major impact on manufacturing industries to improve the quality performance rate. An analysis being performed using advanced technology Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing on fusion welded low alloy steels to extract flaws from nondestructive testing (NDT). Our goal is to extend the previous study and enable us to detect flaws with images successfully so that the usability of our technique is extended and verified in experiment. A number of defects are being observed in the welding process and can be differentiate very easily. Defects in welding may be found out in two methods, i.e. by Radiographic Tests and by Phased Array Ultrasonic Tests. This paper discusses the feasibility of advanced NDT technique and other related methods.

Swachh Bharat Mission was launched by our Hon. Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on October 2, 2014 with Mahatma Gandhi as the inspiration, to create a clean India of his dream by 2019, on his 150th birth anniversary. The basic objective is to create sanitation facilities for all and eliminate completely the unhealthy practice of open defecation. This study is conducted to assess knowledge, perception and practices regarding Swachh Bharat Abhiyan among rural people.

A disease prediction system based on Machine Learning algorithms and ensembles using real-time data gathered through wearable medical sensors

Even with an Annual expenditure $ 8.2 billion (F.Y. 2018-19), Indian healthcare system is far from being affordable and accessible. While the economic development has been gaining momentum since the last decade, India needs major reforms in existing healthcare system. Technology has an important role to play in streamlining the health infrastructure. A Disease prediction system has been proposed to address various deficiencies and provide affordable, readily-available and cost-effective healthcare. The proposed system can effectively predict life threatening diseases like Diabetes and Heart Disease. The system has been implemented by using Machine Learning Algorithms and enhanced to be more accurate than the existing systems. The system is backed by robust Machine Learning Algorithms and ensembles that will predict presence/absence of the diseases accurately. Accurate analysis of medical data benefits early disease detection, patient care and community services. To overcome the difficulty of incomplete data, the system uses Wearable Medical Sensors to gather Real-time data and make prediction based on the collected data. Presently, we demonstrate the system for two diseases but it can be scaled for tackling more diseases. The Disease Prediction system will not only reduce the burden on existing healthcare and diagnosis system but also provide personalized medication.
