A compact monopole antenna for UWB applications

This paper presents a compact size monopole antenna for wide range of application. The base antenna consists of a falcate-shaped monopole antenna and a slot is inserted in base patch. The proposed antenna dimension is 40 × 46 mm² and is fabricated on 1 mm FR4 substrate. This antenna is designed to operate at the frequency of (3-10.5 GHz) with good return loss. The results provide high gain and directivity in wide range. This circularly polarized (CP) antennas are used in various fields such as satellite communication systems, radio frequency identification (RFID), dedicated short range communication systems (DSRC), WLAN and WiMAX in modern wireless communication

Smart garbage monitoring system using IoT

A big challenge is urban cities is the garbage collection process. The garbage collecting authority or the municipal corporation peoples in the traditional waste management system doesn’t know about the level of garbage in the dustbin, if the dust bins get full by garbage then it gets overflowed as well as spelled out from the dustbin leading to an unhygienic condition in cities. Even if the dust bin is overloaded by garbage peoples throws the garbage on that dustbin. Because of that overflowed dustbin and the spelled garbage, bad smell arises also it leads to unhygienic conditions in many cities. Sometimes due to unclean dustbins, some toxic gases may produce and which will support to air pollution. Also, some harmful diseases may spread. It is very bad to look at the city. Due to which unhygienic condition occurs. The use of traditional system result in inefficient and time and money spending systems. So the concept of the Smart Garbage Monitoring System is implemented in cities. Where the rate of production of garbage or waste is high but efforts put to control the garbage management are very less. In order to overcome this many issues stated above smart garbage monitoring system using IoT will help.

Analysis and assessment of sewage water treatment plant by using PLC

Sewage water consists of Agricultural, industrial, and human wastes. It is mandatory to remove organic material by the process of sewage water treatment. The sewage treatment plant involves physical, biological treatment stages. An important objective of municipal and industrial sewage wastewater treatment is to separate pollutants, remove toxic materials, neutralize coarse particles, and destroy pathogens such that the quality of discharged water is more improved to meet the allowable level of water to be discharged into water bodies or for cultivated land. The target of secondary treatment is that the further treatment of the effluent from primary treatment to get rid of the residual organics and suspended solids. The main objective of wastewater treatment is to get rid of as considerably of the suspended solids as possible before the remaining water, called effluent, is discharged back to the environment. To avoid wastage of water by recycling water discharged from companies, homes, businesses, and industries and reduce pollution, to be used in the agricultural sector and domestic purpose.

Data and key encapsulation for the smart grid using improved AES and difference expansion algorithm

Smart Grid (SG) is an advanced electrical power grid. SG collects the user’s smart meter data over the public network. After that, based on the data, generate the bills, and predict the electricity demand. The data contains sensitive information about users. Thus, the privacy of the users is required for better assessment. To preserve the privacy of the user, symmetric cryptography algorithms are used. In the symmetric algorithm, the same key is required for encryption/decryption purposes. Thus, the key is communicated to the receiver with the encrypted data. Thus, it is prone to eavesdropping and tampering attacks. Therefore, in this paper, we have designed data and key encapsulation algorithm that secure the data as well as the key. We have used the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm for data security and difference expansion algorithm for key security. Further, to reduce the encryption time of data encryption, software optimization algorithms used. Next, the encrypted data bits read, and a difference expansion algorithm is applied on it to hide the key bits in the encrypted data. The advantage of the difference expansion algorithm is that the original encrypted data bits recover with key bits extraction. The experimental results show that the data and key encapsulation takes less execution time, provide better security as compared to the existing algorithm.

Human Resource practices and job satisfaction with special reference to hotels

Job Satisfaction is conscious willfulness to seek for other alternatives in other organizations. Human resource management (HRM) is known as the central business concern, that shapes the behavior, attitudes, and performance of the employees, This study empirically evaluated six Human Resource (HR) practices (Careful recruitment and selection, Extensive remuneration systems, Team working and flexible job design, Training and learning, Employee involvement, Performance appraisals with links to contingent reward systems) and impact on the Job Satisfaction of the employees in five-star hotels in Sri Lanka. The sample consisted of one hundred and twenty-six employees working in all five-star hotels in Sri Lanka. The data were gathered by administering questionnaires. Considering the relationship between Human resources practices and Job Satisfaction, the analysis represents that there is a positive and the relationship between Careful recruitment and selection, Extensive remuneration systems, Team working and flexible job design, Training, and learning, Employee involvement, Performance appraisals with links to contingent reward systems. The result was implying that the effect of Team working and flexible job design on Job Satisfaction is higher than in other relationships. However, Human resource practices play a vital role in Job Satisfaction in accordance with all level employees in five-star hotels. Further Team working and flexible job design is more important to employee Job satisfaction.

Calculation of client credit risk prediction in banking sector using data mining

The use of credit scoring can be used to assist the analysis of credit risk in assessing the eligibility of the applicant. As a valuable method for credit rating, data mining has been proven. Many credit scoring models for determining the creditworthiness of loan applicants have been established over the last few years. With an obligation to repay over a period of time, credit provides access to capital today, There may be financial sources, or they may consist of goods or services. Today, credit has become a very necessary component of daily life. Although credit cards are currently the most common type of loan, other credit plans include, among others, residential mortgages, car loans, student loans, small business loans, commercial lending, and bonds.
