Efficient job scheduling algorithm based on weighted average priority in cloud computing

In cloud computing, the issue of the scheduling of job is the greatest and testing issue. There are numerous algorithms for scheduling available that are utilized in the environment of cloud computing for better resource scheduling. Scheduling is assigning fundamentally number of resources to the tasks in a manner that there will be maximum utilization of resource, minimum time for total processing and minimum time of waiting. The basic aim of this paper is to study and analyze the various scheduling algorithms in cloud computing, to develop an improved task scheduling using QoS parameters of Virtual machines and priorities of the task based on the deadline, to compare the results of the proposed scheduling technique with the existing multi-objective task Scheduling technique. The proposed methodology is implemented with the help of Cloudsim and NetbeansIDE8.0. CloudSim is the library that provides the simulation environment of cloud computing and also provides primary classes describing virtual machines, data centers, users and applications.

Turbocharger selection and energy analysis of MGU-H for commercial vehicles

This paper presents the Regenerative turbocharging which is basically electrically assisted turbocharging. This system aims to improvise two primary parameters of the turbocharger; namely performance and turbocharging. In this system, an electric motor coupled with a battery is added to the standard turbo setup, the motor is attached to the same shaft as the turbo impellers. When there is wastegate exhaust, the turbo rotates the motor, thus making it act like a generator which in turn charges the battery. This energy can later be used to rotate the motor, which will, in turn, boost the turbo, in situations of turbo lag, and low RPM, in the low end. The proposed system thus improves performance by eliminating turbo lag and also makes the engine energy efficient.

Liver enzymes in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A cross sectional study

Type 2 diabetes patients will have a higher incidence of abnormal liver enzymes than individuals who do not have diabetes Aminotransferases, such as alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase serve as a marker of hepatocyte injury. Alkaline phosphatase, γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, and bilirubin act as markers of biliary function and cholestasis. Albumin and prothrombin reflect liver synthetic function. The aim of our study was to assess the profile of liver enzymes in subjects with T2DM. Materials and methods: It is a cross-sectional study, where 100 Type 2 diabetes patients attending the Medical OP, NRI General Hospital aged between 40 – 69 yrs were included in the study. The blood sample was collected from all the patients to analyze FPG, PPPG and liver enzymes. The data were analyzed and presented as means ± SD. Statistical analyses were done using t-tests, Pearson’s correlation. P < 0.05 was considered significant. Results: In 47% of Type 2 diabetes patient’s elevated liver enzymes were seen. Mean levels of liver enzymes were higher in men than those in women (26.0 ± 24.8 vs. 21.4 ± 16.0 IU/l in AST, 32.8 ± 20.1 vs. 26.3 ± 13.1 IU/l in ALT), but in ALP, bilirubin and albumin levels there is no mean elevation and no significant difference between male and female. Conclusion: In this study, we found the highest incidence of mildly elevated transaminases in Type 2 diabetes patients. Increased activity of liver enzymes, particularly ALT was associated with an increase in developing insulin resistance and further makes diabetes worsen. So, the estimation of liver enzymes in Type 2 diabetes patients may be helpful in treatment process.

Analysis on methods of image dehazing- An assessment

A literature survey is important for understanding and gaining much more knowledge about the specific area of a subject. The outdoor images captured in inclement weather are degraded due to the presence of haze, fog, rain and so on. Images of scenes captured in bad weather have poor contrasts and colors. This may cause difficulty in detecting the objects in the captured hazy images. Due to haze, there is trouble for many computer vision applications as it diminishes the visibility of the scene. This paper presents a study about different image dhazing methods to remove the haze from the hazy images captured in real-world weather conditions to recover a fast and improved quality of haze-free images. There is an improvement in terms of contrast visible range and color fidelity. All these techniques are widely used in many applications such as outdoor surveillance, object detection, underwater images, etc.

Strand Beest Bicycle

In this research paper, we are describing a new feature and technology bicycle. We make this bicycle by adding the Jonson linkage mechanism in the normal bicycle. And like the other bicycles, there is a normal wheel in the rear and front side of the bicycle. When bicycling on sand (beach) or ice surface we are going to use a linkage mechanism and when bicycle on normal road surface we use the rear wheel on work. We use Gearbox in bicycle to transmit power to both the linkage mechanism and rear wheel of the bicycle at different times.

Improving fault tolerance and network lifetime using relays assisted data forwarding in WSN

Wireless sensor network plays a pivotal role in gathering useful data through sensor nodes and using this information for efficient information processing. The supervision of these nodes, therefore, requires optimized algorithms for efficient data capture, data processing, and information retrieval. To amplify the lifespan of the nodes, the researchers in the past have adopted for the clustering-based approaches. In this paper, the route maintenance mechanism has been defined where each sensor node and CHs locally select new disjoint routing paths/routes in the presence of node/link failures. This technique proposes a modification to an existing scheme by selecting the cluster heads in advance before the start of a new round of data gathering. This helps to avoid the broadcasting of ADV packets in the network. In addition, MDEEHC also allows the parent cluster heads to choose relay nodes from their clusters. These relay nodes are used to transmit the data of the child CH to the base station, thus reducing the load over the parent CH. we have implemented DEEHC and modification to the existing DEEHC clustering algorithm. DEEHC defines the formation of k-vertex disjoint paths from cluster members to cluster heads and from CHs to sink node or base station. This procedure selects cluster heads considering the remaining energy of the nodes as prime factors. M-DEEHC modifies the cluster formation of the DEEHC algorithm as well as modifies the way the data is communicated from child cluster heads to the BS. The performance of the network was analyzed based on throughput, remaining energy, and packet delivery ratio.
