Discussion on bad sitting posture recognition

Currently, an increase in the rate of spinal cord problems among young people and adults are due to improper sitting posture like slouching and hunching. This bad posture is due to the usage of computers, smartphones and other portable devices for long hours. In the recent years, there has been huge development in sitting posture monitoring systems to prevent the spinal and neck pain, Which are not only monitored the posture in real-time and also provide the feedback to improve their posture. The main aim of this survey paper has to provide a review of the recent advancement in the posture monitoring system. A detailed study has been carriedout about the various sensing technology used to measure the sitting and reading posture in real time and the feedback based on the measured data. This paper explores the various monitoring system classification based on the portability and ease of use of the system.

Operations research in courier delivery service

This research paper gives an overview of the problems faced by the courier delivery services, like Vehicle routing problem and cost minimization, and the various operations research techniques that have been applied to solve these problems. We have studied past research papers and collected some of the most efficient Operations Research techniques like the Recursive DBSCAN, CVRPPAD and travelling salesman problems. All these techniques and their application have been discussed in detail in the paper. All the techniques have their own advantages and limitations, which also, have been mentioned in this paper.

Application of Operations Research in agriculture logistics and supply chain

The purpose of this paper is to review already existing literature on conventional agriculture supply chain management and an analysis of the risks, opportunities and it's supply chain management. This research is an attempt to study both the conventional and organic agricultural supply chain through literature in order to reduce costs in all components (like production, warehousing, transportation, marketing, selling) of the agricultural supply chain throughout the process through operational research. The research also shows how the transition from conventional to organic agriculture can be the most cost-effective for farmers.

Operations Research in Telecommunication

Operations Research known as the science of better by the science community and by industry provides a set of tools and techniques and uses complex processes to take decisions. In this paper, we analyze the advancement of the telecommunications industry and its link to Operations research. This paper is divided into three sections. The first section talks about the objectives and the methodology of the research. In the next section we talk about the observations, the OR techniques used in the Telecommunication industry and the findings of the paper. Lastly, we talk about the limitations OR faces in the telecommunication sector.

Eliminating poaching by using machine learning algorithms and thermal imaging

The project intends to propose a low-cost system that can be used to eradicate poachers in large, restricted areas. Poaching is a huge problem and constantly looking for different methods to eradicate it is in fact very necessary to protect the species from being extinct. The project involves creating an electric pillar-like structure that uses thermal imaging and face recognition techniques to help detect humans and faces in restricted areas. Poachers can be detected at night using thermal imaging techniques. Machine learning algorithms such as Eigenfaces, Eigenvalues, and Fisherfaces are extracted using OpenCV which can be used to detect and store the recognized faces.

Analysis of different characteristics of concrete made with recyled aggregate

The recycled concrete aggregate has limited application as fill and subgrade material below the foundation of structures, pavement, etc. these applications are non- structural applications. However, research has been ongoing all over the world especially in Japan, China, European countries and some parts of India also, from the last 50 years in order to find the potential implement of recycled aggregates as a structural grade concrete. The research work on mechanical and durability characteristics of concrete made with recycled aggregate concrete is presented here and is one such attempt to establish the RAC as a structural grade concrete. This research work focuses on mainly four structural properties of concrete i.e. Compressive Strength, Split Tensile Strength, Acid resistance test and alkalinity resistance test In this present study the experimental concrete making without fiber and with fiber. The natural coarse aggregates are replaced with Recycled coarse aggregates at different replacement ratios. Four replacement ratios are considered in this present study 0%, 20%, 40% and 80%. Based on the results obtained it is found that on the addition of steel fibers there is an increase in almost all the structural properties of normal concrete and concrete made with recycled aggregates.
