Study the calcium assessment of urban preschoolers in Aurangabad City and standardize fortified icecream with calcium extract

Minerals are required for many purposes like forming the frame and rigid structure of the body. Calcium is one of the macro mineral most abundantly found in the human body. Most of the calcium in the body is present in the bones and teeth; only a small amount (1%) is present in blood/body fluids. It is present either is combined with protein or as calcium ion. To standardize the calcium fortified ice-cream with calcium powder. To determine the prevalence of calcium deficiency in preschoolers in urban population. To identifies the risk factors of calcium absorption among preschoolers. The data was collected on random sampling method and tools used were nutritional assessment sheet which consists of height, weight, BMI, food habits, physical examination like the presence of signs and symptoms of calcium deficiency, and 7-day dietary recall for calcium intake. A single random sampling technique was used to select subjects representing urban preschoolers. The statistical analysis was done for collected data of 180 children. Age wise and gender-wise distribution of calcium intake. Where a total number of male in the age group of 3-4 years is 72 and the total number of males in the age group of 5-6 years is 46. Same as for females total number in the age group of 3-4 years is 37 and in the age group of 5-6 years is 25. In this study, it is observed that calcium intake in the category of 400mg to 600mg/day is more than that of other categories. it is shown that there is a significant improvement in blood serum calcium levels of children who are treated with calcium-fortified ice cream. In compare to literature study of jurain hoogerwerf (18) There were statistically significant differences in calcium absorption from the ice cream fortified formulations and milk, demonstrating that calcium-fortified ice cream is an effective vehicle for delivering calcium. The study was concluded that it was a very nutritious and calcium-rich product ( ice cream). More than 50%of children are having physical symptoms and clinical signs of calcium deficiency even if their calcium intakes are adequate and fortified products are enriched calcium absorption from the ice cream fortified formulations and milk, demonstrating that calcium-fortified ice cream is an effective vehicle for delivering calcium.

Framework for the implementation of ISO 14001 in educational campuses

The present scenario, where in India is ecologically deficit, demands for a sustainable living. It has become a priceless need. Educational institutions, being the hub for moulding the future society, serve as the best place to create from it a sustainable society. The implementation of ISO 14001 followed by proper audit and documentation helps in keeping par with the above needs. This paper is an effort to formulate a framework for the implementation of ISO 14001 in campuses. A case study is carried out at the Mar Athanasius College of Engineering campus. The initial environmental review is conducted and the possibilities of environmental commitments are worked out. From this, a framework for the ISO 14001 in campuses is formulated.

Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) for authentication and confidentiality at network layer

In internet IPv4 and IPv6 protocols are at the network layer. To exchange the packet at the network layer with security aspects IPSec is used. IPSec uses to transport and tunnel mode for secure communication between the two devices. Transport mode kept the packet header as it is but encrypts the data while in tunnel mode one packet is kept in another packet for the confidentiality of the message. IPSec works to protect the data flow in host-to-host, network-to-network, and network-to-host as well. Here the paper describes the IPSec policy. In this paper, we discuss at network layer how security architecture used for protecting the secrecy and integrity of Internet traffic.

Power factor correction in KY Converter fed Switched Reluctance Motor

This paper presents a PF (Power Factor Correction) converter for switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive. Here, KY Converter is proposed for a wide variation of speed control and achieving power correction at AC mains. The converter has a switching frequency of 20 kHz. The KY Converter is a step up converter. The name given to this converter is the first letter of the authors, K.I. Hwu, Y. T. Yau. The KY converter always operate in CCM, and the output current is non-pulsating, and output voltage ripple is low and has higher voltage boosting capability. Normally the converter is used as a power converter for SRM drive is the asymmetric converter. Conventionally three phase ac mains is fed to bridge rectifier is used as a dc source to feed this power converter which possesses a high content of harmonics at ac mains with a very low power factor. The proposed converter reduces a conduction loss, input current ripple, torque ripples and also the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and improves power factor. A nearly unity power factor (PF) and 2.97% total harmonic distortion (THD) of input ac current are acquired with maximum efficiency. Thus the presented converter topology gives many advantages for many variable speed drive applications.

A two-parameter fourth-order methods for solving nonlinear equations

In this paper, we present two-parameter iterative methods for solving nonlinear equations. Convergence analysis shows that the new methods converge of order four. Some illustrative examples are solved to show the validity of our method.

Study of tactical alignment of business and IT in education systems

Business - IT alignment (BITA) is one of the most widely discussed topics for the last decade in the area of Information Systems Planning and Management as it stresses the importance of the technology, business management, and an amalgamation of the two that holds the promise for obtaining the sustainable advantage of business organizations in the long run. Business Information Technology Alignment (BITA) has been found to improve firm performance. Yet little is known about the process through which universities/colleges achieve BITA. It the fastest-growing economy in the world.
