Optimization and standardization of lemon grass incorporated into pseudostem and mint extracts based isotonic drink

The Lemongrass based Isotonic Drink was developed with the incorporation of the banana pseudostem and mint extracts using palm sugar syrup as a sweetener. The quality of the product was computed by a series of microbiological tests, proximate analysis, and organoleptic evaluation. The microbial load was evaluated and is found to be <10 which meant that the product has increased shelf life with better taste and color even in the absence of preservatives. Therefore, the aroma of lemongrass, nutrients of pseudostem, freshness, and flavor of mint along with palm sugar elevates its economic importance, consumer awareness and attracts them towards the advent of blended functional drinks. The Response Surface Methodology aims at optimizing the ingredients and designing experiments from which the final product is formulated. This software helps in showing the interaction of the independent variables at each response with the use of 3D graphical representation.

Comparative study on analysis and design of RCC and composite structure

This paper deals with the Comparative Study of the composite and concrete structure. The composite structure is more prominent over steel and concrete structure in relation to Strength, Costs, and Time Period requirements. There is no need for formwork because the steel beam is able to sustain its self-weight of steel and concrete, by itself or with the assistance of a few temporary props. This Paper also deals with the design of composite building structures with a fixed base. In this paper Seismic analysis of a multi-story residential building is made by using different construction materials like Concrete, Structural Steel and Composite of Structural Steel and Concrete. Effect of the building is studied with respect to base shear, total dead load, story drift values in both X- and Y- direction. Steel-concrete composite systems for buildings are built by connecting the steel beam to the concrete slab or profiled deck slab with the help of mechanical shear connectors so they seem like a single unit and act accordingly. In the present work, the steel-concrete composite with RCC options is chosen for the comparative study of G+21 story building which is situated in earthquake zone-III and for earthquake loading, the provisions of IS: 1893 (Part1)-2002 is considered. Here, we used ETAB Software for three-dimensional modeling and the analysis of the structure.

A review on Surfactants: Role in skin irritation, SC damage, and effect of mild cleansing over damaged skin

Cosmetic industry which has gained much interest when it comes to daily based products involving skin care and many essentials enhancing and beautifying an individual. Focusing on skin care products bar soaps, liquid or gels of body wash, cleansers etc. having much demand in cosmetic sector past decade. Taking into the account preparation of body washes and cleansers using syndets i.e. synthetic surfactants leads to skin related issues like dryness, itching, after wash tightness, stratum corneum layer damage, dermatitis etc. Replacement of synthetic surfactants with mild synthetic and/or natural ones is having much wide scope for industries who develops the natural surfactants and make sure that replacement of same will lead to better application while reducing the skin related issues. During 1950’s synthetic surfactants/ detergents in form of bars are introduced. Since then body soaps and cleansers are under research which can be efficacious still less harsh causing minimal damage to the skin barrier. Cleansers including mild synthetic surfactants and/or emollients for moisturization that cause minimal barrier perturbation are ideal for these patients. A brief review of four clinical trials that evaluated the efficacy and compatibility of either mild syndet bars or cleansers in patients with atopic dermatitis, acne, and rosacea was taken. Much research and review was done on natural, mild, and biosurfactants. Biosurfactants are consider as safe and produced using nonpathogenic yeasts, bacteria, and fungi leading to production of diverse groups of biosurfactants shows antimicrobial, antifungal like properties which makes them more applicable in many daily products. Along with this addition of emollients like oils, butters, derivatives of alkanes and alcohols lead to form preparations which are having moisturizing effects and properties of surfactants which helps keeping skin intact and moisturized.

Smart walking stick for blind people

Blind people generally use the typical white cane. Movability for the visually impaired person is a huge problem. In this paper, we propose A safe path to blind people using a microcontroller, ultrasonic sensor, GPS, GSM, speaker to make the smart stick. obstacles continuously detected using the ultrasonic sensor, depends on it voice message will be playing like take left, stop, take right, etc. and also detect location.

A review on natural lip salve

Cosmetics are prepared and used for a long time. Cosmetics have been a daily essential need. There are many varieties in the preparation and use of cosmetics such as foundations, skin cleansers, lotions, and lipsticks, etc. Under lip applications, there is a broad spectrum like lipsticks, lip liners, lip gloss, lip salve (lip salve), etc. Salves are generally accustomed to increase the beauty of lips while protecting them. To promote and maintain healthy lips naturally lip salve is used. Many methods have been employed for the preparation of lip salve. These methods increase their organoleptic properties. Nowadays, products which are naturally derived or having natural constituents are mostly preferred. This work focuses on, natural constituents accustomed to formulating lip salve. In this review, essential constituents used for natural salve preparation with its benefits is done. The preparation of natural lip salve is done using naturally occurring base, naturally derived oils, naturally occurring coloring agents and naturally derived flavoring agents. This is evaluated for parameters like its resistance to variations in temperature, acceptable flavor, its smooth texture throughout and adherence, etc.

Weather report on metropolitan cities in India using web scraping technique

In metropolitan cities of India, there are several climate measurement points that are owned by several different institutions such as Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, NCMRWF, India Meteorological Department (Pune) and many other institutes. However, obtaining the latest meteorological data in detail within a specific period has restricted the bureaucratic process to each institution. While the availability of meteorological data sets is necessary for conducting research in the field of data analysis to predict climate and analyzes for DSS that require weather patterns. On the other hand, some sites provide real-time weather data for some cities. For this, in this research, we use web scraping technology to collect meteorological data in metropolitan cities in India. Web scraping technology is a technique for retrieving the content of a web page individually. The data collected by this web scraping technique will form a database or data warehouse that can be used for further research on data mining for weather forecasting in metropolitan cities, which in the future can be developed a support application to based decision.
