Over view on stock predictor using machine learning and deep learning

The trust which has grown in the power of deep learning models has made the finance industry very eager and with dynamical attitude to apply them in practice as it has been for the past few years. There are a variety of methods and techniques used which have remained very separate from each other in their approach. During the course of this survey, we intend to study the various techniques currently being used to predict or analyze the market and attempt to make a hybrid model so that a wider domain is covered in order to make better predictions.

Active harmonic filtering using current-controlled, grid-connected DG units with closed-loop power control

Renewable energy sources such as solar, wind are becoming more popular to generate power. These renewable energy based power generation systems generate DC power output. An inverter is needed to convert DC power from renewable energy sources into AC power. These renewable energy sources are connected to the grid through interfacing converters which supply active and reactive powers to the main grid. Inverters are either be connected in standalone or in grid connected mode. In the case of grid-connected mode, the output voltage and frequency of inverter should be same as grid voltage and frequency. If loads connected to the grid are non-linear in nature, then it can introduce power quality problems such as harmonic distortions in grid voltage.

Bio-metric authentication using non-expanded inverted share image visual cryptography

A biometric authentication system operates by acquiring raw biometric data from a subject e.g., fingerprint and iris images. This original raw data is stored in the central database. Preserving the privacy of this digital biometric data has become very important. Visual cryptography can be applied to securing this information. The proposed work preserves the privacy fingerprint and iris-based authentication using Inverted Share image Visual Cryptography (ISVC). In ISVC, we invert one share image and stack it with another shared image to obtain the extra confidential data that can be used for authentication. In traditional visual cryptography, the size of the recovered image is expanded because of pixel expansion during encryption. This also leads to recovered image distortion. Therefore, the proposed scheme combines a non-expanded scheme with the extra ability to hide biometric data, such as fingerprint and iris image, in some cover image to maintain privacy. This will also solve the pixel expansion as seen in traditional visual cryptography

Flexural retrofitting of geopolymer RC beam with ferrocement laminates

The present paper deals with the experimental investigation carried out to study the effect of Ferrocement laminates on the strengthening of Geopolymer reinforced concrete rectangular beams. Various rehabilitation techniques have been proposed yet but among these techniques, external strengthening provides a practical and cost-effective solution when compared to other repair methods. Reinforced concrete components are formed to exhibit distress and get deteoriated due to various factors and hence need strengthening. Ferro cement is most commonly used as retrofitting material due to their easy availability durability and their property of being cast to any shape without needing significant formwork. In this investigation, we examined the performance of R.C. beam strengthened by Ferro cement, 15 beams of the rectangular cross-section were cast using m20 grade concrete and were tested for collapse load. Further beams were stressed up to 70%, 80% &90% respectively. The investigation shows that up to 80% of the pre-damaged beams can be strengthened using Ferro cement. The need for the construction industry to look for a reliable and cheaper strengthening component for reinforced concrete structure has led to the usage of Ferrocement which proves to be a promising solution. In this paper, reinforced concrete beams strengthened with Ferrocement laminates attached to the soffit of the beams and control beam are observed through experimental study. Experimental results show that the strengthened beams and control beam are observed through experimental study. Experimental results show that the strengthened beams have increased ultimate moment capacity and also, it shows better serviceability performances in terms crack control and deflection.

Experimental investigation on flexural behaviour of various steel fibre reinforced concrete beam

The performance of concrete made with commercially available steel fibres has been investigated. In this study examines the flexural strength of concrete with two different types of steel fibre, short crimped of length 15 mm, another of long hooked ends of length 30 mm and were used in the present study. The overall volume fractions of steel fibres were restricted to 1 percent by the volume of concrete. M25 grade of concrete was used to cast the specimens. Reinforced concrete beams of 1.5 m length and 100 x 150 mm in cross-section were cast with different percentages of micro and macro steel fibres and the specimens were tested under single point loading after 28 days of curing. The results are to be compared between conventional concrete to fibre reinforced concrete.
