Wearable asthma prediction device

The paper presents the design for a wearable device to predict asthma attacks for all age groups. The design is developed based on environmental conditions and patient attack history. The wearable device uses temperature/humidity, dust sensors that monitor the surrounding atmospheric conditions and incorporates a machine learning algorithm (decision trees) for prediction of an attack in advance. Concepts of the Internet of Things are used for cloud storage and wireless connectivity with a handheld device, such as a smartphone.

Financial security among transgenders in India: An introduction to trans-inclusion model

The transgender community has been looked down upon for generations owing to societal stigma and plain ignorance. This has resulted in a community, brimming with potential, being grossly underutilized. If nudged in the right direction and given impetus in so far as education and equal opportunities are concerned, we would have a solid block in the working class of our country, proactively contributing to the economy and the society in general. The paper has explored the living conditions of transgenders in our country, the prejudice and bias they battle and the limited options they have for sustenance by means of the research. The objective is to understand the existent state of transgenders and inquire into ways of alleviating poverty among them by the encouragement of formal education, spreading awareness on diseases plaguing the community and sensitization of common public to enable equal job opportunities, thereby directly surging their self-esteem and productivity in the society

Computational fluid dynamic analysis of performance of centrifugal pump sump set on a cooling system

Design of a centrifugal pump is carried out and analyzed to get the best performance point for a certain impeller blade angle. Due to high demands by industry for centrifugal pump equipment, there is, the study of has centrifugal pump impeller mass flow rate is important. This paper deals with the design and performance analysis of centrifugal pump by changing the impeller blade angle. In this paper, a centrifugal pump is analyzed by using a single-stage centrifugal pump. It consists of Two main components of a centrifugal pump are the impeller and the casing. The impeller is a rotating component and the casing is a stationary component. In a centrifugal pump, water enters axially through the impeller eyes and water exits radially. The pump casing is to guide the liquid to the impeller, converts into pressure the high-velocity kinetic energy of the flow from the impeller discharge and leads liquid away of the energy having imparted to the liquid comes from the volute casing. The CFD analysis is being increasingly applied in the design of centrifugal pumps. The design and performance analysis of centrifugal pump is chosen because it is the most useful mechanical rotodynamic machine in fluid works which widely used in domestic, irrigation, industry, large plants and river water pumping system. Moreover, centrifugal pumps are manufactured in many industries.

Solar based steam cooking system

Advantages and guidelines for cooking with steam are described. Transferring heat energy through steam is the most efficient way to cook and can occur through conduction, convection, or radiation. Steam has 6 times the heat energy found in boiling water at the same temperature. Pure steam is dry and cooks foods quickly, retaining nutrients. Air must be completely excluded from steamers or pressure cookers for efficient performance. Several makes of steamers are described (e.g., forced convection steam cookers and counter units). Variables that affect cooking time in steam are: density, shape, and thickness of foods, food temperature, and doneness desired. All restaurant operations should consider having a steamer.

Implementing the motion-based video clipping algorithm for monitoring surveillance video streams

Communication is exchanging or transfer of the data so that the internet of things is but something like transferring of data or things or we can say exchanging several things. The use of authorized systems from the help of the internet is calculated as by 2020 that there will be the availability of billions of systems all around. The objective for the project shall be defining safekeeping alert system of devices by taking care of the power-related aspects by the internet of things.

Work-life balance of married woman self employers of Puducherry

A Balance between work and life is something for which every woman is striving for. Good WLB is made-up to be live when there is a good environment prevails at work (business) and at home with the minimum role of conflict. Running a business is not as easy as going for a job. In business, the responsibility is more for the owner compared to the worker. A woman taking care of own business and taking care of family are two big responsibilities for her. For a self-employed woman, it is necessary to be in the place of business for longer hours as she is the investor or owner. For an employee, it is 8 hours. But for the business owner, there is no such limit in working hours. As per the situation prevailing in the place of business, she has to present herself for longer hours. This paper attempts to study the WLB between married female self-employers and salaried women in Puducherry, Objectives of the study: The primary objectives of the study shall be 1) To Study the WLB of married Female self-employers at Puducherry. 2) To study the perception and satisfaction level of WLB by married self-employers at Puducherry. For this, 80 Samples were collected using Simple Random Sampling method. Tools such as Percentage analysis and t-test were used. The study found that there is a significant difference in work life expectation and work life satisfaction between women self-employed and salaried women in Puducherry.
