Social inclusion of children with visual impairment

Initiatives taken by several organisations working for children with Disability and governments across the globe has set the stage for inclusion of Children with Disability in mainstream schools. In India also, Rights of People with Disability are well guarded by constitutional policies, they are provided with several provisions and supports by the government to guard their interests. Statistics shows rise in their participation in schools and workplace in last two decades. With all these positive signs of inclusion, there is one more aspect that is Social Inclusion. The present paper explores the impact of inclusion in schools on social inclusion of Children with Visual Impairment (CwVI) in society at large. Paper also discusses changing role of special schools and organizations from study centres to resource centres in the present era of inclusion. Data is collected by focus group discussion and semi-structured interviews with 30 CwVI studying in 9 Inclusive schools in Delhi and NCR and 20 teachers teaching in 7 Organizations for Blind in North India. Findings reveal that inclusion of CwVI in mainstream schools has positive impacts on Children with visual Impairment but at the same time, many incidents clearly show signs of social exclusion in these inclusive setups.

Network monitoring with open source packet sniffer

Computer Network is a growing field every day. Networking has made life easy. Computer networks always have a big risk of security problems. However, to better understand real problems in a network and to solve them, it’s important to go to the packet level. It is believed that all network problems arise from the packet level. This is where packet analysis plays a big role in computer networks. Network analysis, protocol analysis or simply sniffing are the other names of packet analysis. The purpose of this research paper is to monitor and analyze the network traffic packets of various protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, ARP, ICMP etc. using a tool called Wireshark. Wireshark is a free and open - source packet analyzer. To analyze the packets of different protocols we are using different parameters are frame no. frame length, IP source, IP destination, header length of the packets and also window size value etc.

Regulation of water supply in agricultural field using internet of things (IoT)

This paper is designed to develop an automatic water supply system in agriculture which automatically switches the pump motor ON/OFF by sensing the humidity content of the soil. In the farming field, use of a suitable method of irrigation is important. The advantage of using this method is to reduce human intervention and still ensure proper irrigation to increase the productivity and quality of the soil.it results in decreasing the use of pesticides in the agriculture field. In this, we are using an 8051 series microcontroller which is set to receive the input signal of changing moisture condition of the soil through the sensing procedure. Once the microcontroller receives this signal, it generates an output that drives a relay circuit for operating the water pump. If the moisture content is very low, then the motor is automatically driven to on state. A Wi-Fi modem is interfaced to the microcontroller to send the current status of the soil and water pump. These circuit connections are all connected to relay circuit to drive the motor. This concept is more improving by integrating IoT(internet of things) technology, such that whenever we want the water pump switches ON/OFF, the concerned person or the farmer using this system get to know the status about it through the web page by using IoT regarding the status of the pump.

An approach towards high-speed communication using LIFI technology – A review

Nowadays wireless technology is in the trends and it becomes important communication process. The main way to transmit the data is by electromagnetic waves i.e. radio waves. However, radio waves can support less bandwidth because of compact spectrum availability and intrusion. Solution to this is data transmission using Visible Light Communication (VLC). Solution to this is data transmission using Visible Light Communication. A new wireless technology was introduce called Li-Fi. The technology is very new and was proposed by the German physicist Harald Haas in 2011 TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) Global Talk on Visible Light Communication (VLC). Li-Fi provides better bandwidth, efficiency, connectivity, and security than Wi-Fi and has already achieved high speeds larger than 1 Gbps under the laboratory conditions. In Li-Fi basically, we focus on transmitting multimedia data between two terminals using LED. It is a transmission of data through illumination. LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye can follow. By leveraging the low-cost nature of LEDs and lighting units, there are lots of opportunities to exploit this medium.

An efficient interruption detection algorithm for security in wireless sensor networks

Wireless sensor systems comprise of individual hubs that can associate with the environment by detecting or controlling physical parameters. These hubs need to team up to satisfy their undertakings. The hubs are interlinked together and by utilizing Wireless connections every hub can convey and team up with each other. In this paper, we center around security issues of WSNs; little overview on the primary difficulties of these systems, a wide assortment of WSNs' assaults and a correlation between them. Our proposed Detection technique detects the congestion and notifies Attacks to the sender before it occurs. Interruption detection (ID) algorithms must be made to work on this partial and localized information. The Data information correspondence to be performed in secure design. Additionally, this paper talks about known methodologies of security identification and defensive mechanism against the connection layer assaults; this would empower IT security chiefs to oversee assaults of WSNs all the more viably.

Parenting behavior among working parents of school children

A descriptive study was conducted to assess Parenting Behavior Among Working Parents of School Children at a selected area in Coimbatore. Using purposive sampling technique, 28 working parents of school children between 6 to 12 years were selected. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire on parenting behavior. Findings revealed that, out of the 28 parents majority (64.29 %) of parents had an appropriate parenting behavior and 35.71 % of them had a moderately appropriate parenting behavior. None of the parents had inappropriate parenting behavior. Chi-square value was computed to find out the association between baseline variables of parents and their parenting behavior. Findings revealed that, there was a significant association between the age of mothers (χ2 = 14.02) and parenting behavior at p<0.05 level of significance. None of the other baseline variables had any association with the parenting behavior among parents of school children.
