Dynamic stability improvement for single machine infinite bus system installed with PSS

Power system stabilizer is suppressing the low-frequency oscillation of the power system to improve the dynamic stability of the power system. The need of power system stabilizer (PSS) or supplementary excitation control is to apply a stabilizing signal through the excitation system to produce additional damping torque of the generator in a power system at all operating and system conditions. In this paper, the study of the dynamic behaviour and small signal stability of the single-machine infinite bus (SMIB) with CPSS under various loading condition is presented. Simulation result in with and without PSS is resulted is shown.

Analysis and control the air quality using NodeMCU

Due to the increase in vehicles and industries quality of air has gone worse and it affects living beings. Diseases like asthma and other respiratory disorders have increased even with children below the age of ten. Chimneys from industries release lots of harmful gases, though air control monitoring is established in most parts of the world. Still increasing in industries has caused a major air pollution problem. This creates the toxic atmosphere around the factories and spoils the well being of the human. With the drastic evolution in the field if the Internet of Things(IoT) it is made possible to monitor the number of toxic substances in air particles and can even control the quality of air. The objective is to develop a system which can sense the number of toxic particles in air using the MQ135 sensor. The quality of air can be controlled over the web using a dedicated server. When the toxic particles in the air like CO2, methane, alcohol, benzene increases an alarm will be triggered. Air quality in PPM is displayed on the web server when the toxicity in the air crosses the threshold value and automatically air purifier gets switched on, and it detoxifies the air. This device can be installed anywhere and can and when pollution crosses the safe region some external devices can be triggered, like displaying the alert message over the LCD display or can send the notification to all the people over there through a speaker or via SMS by using a GSMmodule.

Analysis of online compiler

With the development of online education, the pattern of education which based on the Internet obtained the general recognition of the society. People prefer to learn and share the open courses on the Internet in universities or colleges all over the world. However, the courses opened online can support the massive peoples to learn online, but couldn't support them to program on the network, and judge the program on the network. In order to support more and more students to complete the experiments of the online courses, automatic judging system about software experiments and hardware experiments are needed to develop to ensure the correctness of the design of experiments. The Background Evaluation System is an online environment, it can connect different experiment systems to finish different courses. It also can simulate the hardware experiments online and test hardware experiments automatically. Online judge system, can solve much of the problems.

Arduino based multi-function paint robot machine

Wall painting is a repetitive, draining and perilous process which makes it an ideal case for robotics. The painting had been automated in the locomotive industry but not yet for the construction industry. There is a solid need for an itinerant robot that can move to paint inner walls of residential buildings. In this paper, the theoretical proposal of an autonomous wall painting robot is defined consisting of an arm that scans the walls vertically and is fitted on a mobile robot base to give the adjacent feed motion to cover the painting range. The design objective is to fulfill the criteria of uncomplicatedness, low weight, low cost and fast painting time. Ultrasonic sensors are fitted on the arm and the mobile base to regulate the motion limits and move in the room area. A control system is planned to control the arm motion and plot the mobile base motion.

Enhancement channel estimation techniques for OFDM systems with realistic indoor fading channels

This paper deals with the channel estimation techniques for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems such as in IEEE 802.11. Although there has been a great amount of research in this area, characterization of typical wireless indoor environments and design of channel estimation schemes that are both robust and practical for such channel conditions have not been thoroughly investigated. It is well known that the minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) estimator provides the best mean-square-error (MSE) performance given a priori knowledge of channel statistics and operating signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). However, the channel statistics are usually unknown and the MMSE estimator has the too much computational complexity to be realized in practical systems. In this work, we propose two simple channel estimation techniques: one that is based on modifying the channel correlation matrix from the MMSE estimator and the other one with averaging window based on the LS estimates. We also study the characteristics of several realistic indoor channel models that are of potential use for wireless local area networks (LANs). The first method, namely MMSE-exponential-Rhh, does not depend heavily on the channel statistics and yet offer performance improvement compared to that of the LS estimator. The simulation results also show that the second method, namely averaging window (AW) estimator, provides the best performance at moderate SNR range.

Analysis of triaxiality stress behavior in three dimensional simulation of Al 2024 aluminum alloy extrusion by using finite element method

Extrusion is an extremely flexible manufacturing process, as a single press can be used to extrude various materials and a large number of profiles by simply changing the die and the associated tooling with it. Extrusion Process is highly influenced by the process parameters required for determining the quality of process and extrude. The process parameters such as billet pre-heating temperature, container temperature, die temperature, extrusion ratio, ram speed, die pre-heating temperature, the number of cavities in the die and triaxiality stresses etc. control the process, which ultimately affects the productivity and quality of the extrude. This paper deals with an extensive literature review of the effect of process parameters on the extrusion of various Al 2024 aluminum alloys.
