Waste oil powered burner
Due to continuous consumption, increasing energy demand and harmful exhaust gases of fossil fuels in transportation and power generation lead to guessing about alternative fuels. The chemical and physical properties of waste cooking oil were measured and Analysed according to ASTM standards.Their utilization as cooking fuel can bring numerous benefits not only for urban but also for rural communities. The paper focuses on characterizing VCOs(vegetable cooking oil) and UCOs(used cooking oil) as fuels for the household cooking application using a pressurized cooking stove. Physical properties such as auto-ignition point, auto-ignition time, flash point, density and viscosity of VCOs(vegetable cooking oil) play the role in combustion. Some properties of these oils were measured and characterized. Waste cooking oil was preheated to 90°C before oil nozzle. The oil was used directly used as a fuel in the pressurized cooking stove, it is possible to improve the combustion performance, thus by reducing the ignition time and incomplete combustion. The main target is to determine the quality and performances of the oils combustion. Crude VCO(vegetable cooking oil) gave the fastest auto-ignition time 30 s when compared with the other oils than other oils.

SHE-PWN technique incorporating series-sub multilevel inverter topology for V/F control induction motor
SHE-PWM Techniques are the concept of based on the decomposition of PWM voltage/current waveform using Fourier theory and formulations of given waveform properties. Generally, CHB Multilevel inverter using H Bridge Topology for each level output connected in series, Series sub topology using in Multilevel inverter reduced no of switches it can be reduced switching loss and price for the same level. In industrial application various types of control available for speed control induction motor. V/f control of induction motor is most widely used in industry because it’s simple, reliable and constant torque method. Here provide seven-level series sub multilevel inverter fed v/f control induction motor this inverter topology with SHE-PWM Technique eliminate dominant harmonic like 5th,7th,11th,13th and highly reduced THD of the output voltage. Performance of the Induction motor in this system has been verified in MATLAB/simulink® environment.

Removal of phospholipids from crude edible oil by PVDF membrane
Removal of phospholipid is the first step in the process of filtering crude edible oil. Membrane separation has been proposed often as an alternative to the conventional process. Until now, the instability of polymeric membrane in organic solvent was the main issue but in this work we synthesized PVDF membrane of different composition to evaluate their flux and rejection properties. Degumming experiment of crude peanut oil miscella were performed using two PVDF samples. Among them fresh sample (M-3) gave higher flux of 47.5 LMH and rejection of 94% with increasing stability.

Balancing of the production line in a manufacturing industry to improve productivity
This work mainly focuses on the application of line balancing to minimize idle time of workstation in the production line. The methodology adopted includes calculation of cycle time of the process, identifying the non –value-added activities, calculation of total workload on station and distribution of workload on each workstation by line balancing, in order to improve the efficiency of line. A production line of a bearing retainer component manufactured by Porwal Auto Components Pvt Ltd, Pithampur, Dhar (M.P) is considered for this research work and time study is performed in order to determine the standard time for each process. Then, rank positional weighted method (RPW) is evaluated with the help of standardized data to solve the assembly line problem and defines the line efficiency which provides a better productivity in the existing flow line by reducing the idle time.

Capital punishment
Capital Punishment is also called as Death Penalty. The term “Capital” has been derived from the Latin term “Capitalist” which means concerning the head. Hence, to be sentenced a death penalty or capital punishment means “to lose one’s head”. It is sanctioned by the state/ government where the person who has committed the crime or an offense at a serious or an extreme level is sentenced to death. The act or process of carrying out the procedure of the sentence is known as an “Execution”. The death penalty can be defended or denounced on the fields of equity or utility. Although, many countries have abolished the death penalty there are still many countries where the practice of capital punishment is still followed for the heinous crimes committed by the criminals. When such loathsome crimes are committed, following the practices of capital punishment helps in curtailing and deterring such crimes due to the fear which warns the other individuals from doing the same. Capital punishment can be avowed that it is the greatest deterrent to criminals and potential criminals. When such kinds of crimes are committed, the execution of death penalty is much cheaper on the grounds of expenses incurred by the state or it can be considered cost-effective when compared to serving life imprisonment. There are individuals who are serial, harsh, aggressive killers and criminals who don’t belong in general public population because they exist among the innocent population would create fear in the minds of people and take away the peace and harmony with which the people live and grow with the flow of life. When such harsh and serious steps are taken, it warns and awakens people that taking away the life of an innocent person is easy but giving away or surrendering your own life is not. The popular expression in the bible clearly mentions, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”. This is an appropriate statement for the capital punishment. There are many statistics that show that there is a decrease and reduction in the crimes committed or offenses made due to the effect of capital punishment. Thus, in order for abolishing terrorism, rapes and murders etc., such practices should not be abolished and should continue to exist in order for the existence of the fear in the minds of people.
