The effect of maternal lifestyle factors on pregnancy complications and perinatal outcome

A meta-analysis was done to assess the effect of maternal lifestyle factors on pregnancy complication and perinatal outcome based on 14 primary studies. The statistical data was collected and condensed depending on the factors identified from the meta-synthesis. The data was analyzed using the forest plot method. The findings of the study revealed that maternal lifestyle factor like pre-pregnancy BMI ˃25kg/m2 had a statistical and clinical significance with the RR˃1. The other factors identified by meta-synthesis were poor dietary factors and lack of physical activity. The adverse outcome of pregnancy complications like GDM, PIH, anemia was prolonged labor, premature delivery, maternal mortality, IUD, IUGR, low birth weight, low Apgar score˂5 with RR˃1 and narrow confidence limit. Other maternal and fetal outcomes identified from meta-synthesis are SGA, LGA, birth asphyxia, stillbirth, congenital anomalies, and increased rate of admission to ICU. Thus the study concluded that there was a significant association between maternal lifestyle factors on complications like GDM, PIH, and anemia and had a significant relation in causing the adverse perinatal outcome.

Harmonics mitigation using shunt active power filter by sinusoidal current control technique

With the widespread use of power electronics devices such as rectifier, inverter etc. in power system causes serious problem relating to power quality. The main issue considered in this analysis is harmonic, and this is because of the nonlinear load. To mitigate the effects of nonlinear loads shunt active power filter is placed with the line. The control technique of SAPF is sinusoidal current control technique. Hysteresis current control scheme used for IGBT switching and generation of PWM. The simulation of control technique of SAPF is simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK software. In this paper compare to balanced and unbalanced voltages. Obtained THD of this control technique by simulation analysis. The results indicate the SAPF can improve the power quality.

A visualization engine – Generating reusable and shareable visual components and dashboards

The aesthetically designed high-impact dashboard is a challenge for any project. Development of dashboard needs focused and thoughtful visualization interface. However, the effectiveness of the dashboard depends upon the selection of the data in the specific context. Therefore it is important to give more focus on the core concerns like data extraction, transformation, loading, and analytics. The visualization Engine presented in this paper automates the process of visualization. It eliminates the need for any program to generate visualizations. Hence drastically minimize the code needed to be written to use or share the visualizations in a very secured, optimized and managed way. The paper outlines the process to assemble many visual components into a dashboard and use or share the same dashboard as a whole in any portal.

The case study on artificial recharge structures

The artificial recharge structures aim at augmentation of groundwater reservoir by modifying the natural movement of surface water utilizing suitable civil construction techniques. Artificial recharge techniques normally address following issues: • To enhance the sustainable yield in areas where overdevelopment has depleted the aquifer. • Conservation and storage of excess surface water for future requirements since these requirements often change within a season or a period. • To improve the quality of existing groundwater through dilution. • To remove bacteriological and other impurities from sewage and wastewater so that water is suitable for re-use. The basic purpose of artificial recharge of groundwater is to restore supplies from aquifers depleted due to excessive groundwater development.

The detection method to determine localization and extent of myocardial infarction: A literature review

Cardiovascular diseases are very important to detect as early as possible because it leads to death in the world, and Myocardial Infarction (MI) is very dangerous one among those diseases. Patient monitoring for an early detection of MI is most important to alert medical assistance and increase the vital prognostic of patients. In this paper, trying to detect the Myocardial Infarction, where it is exactly and up to which extent. PhysioNet challenge 2007 Database the Body surface potential map database which consists of ECG of normal and myocardial infarcted patients is used. Since the data available is less, Bilinear Interpolation is used to generate data from the existing. PhysioNet challenge 2007 database has BSPM data. Data is all about four patients with MI, where two patient’s data are used as training set to determine rules, and two other patients for testing set. The Myocardial Infarction is detected using some rule and threshold values using Artificial Neural Network. The accuracy might be increased when one patient data follows multiple rules and compared by other patients data.

Logical clock implementation in the Distributed system

A distributed system consisting of the system on the network. The network provides the facility of information exchange between the systems. The client-server systems are the basic concept for this type of system. In the distributed system the communication delay is finite and unpredictable. The process does not share common memory and communication happen by passing the message over the communication network. The message failure is also the common problems on the distributed system. The network data link layer resolve this problems by various algorithms such as (1) Stop and Wait (2) Stop and Wait for Noisy channels (3) Automatic repeat request and positive Acknowledgement with Retransmission (ARQ OR PAR) (4) Sliding window protocols (5) Go Back-N protocol (6) Protocol using selected repeat But in this paper we discuss the Logical Clock approach of Distributed system.
