Abstract
This project is designed to review two different methods used in construction for the purpose of rebar estimation. The two methods reviewed in this project are- Conventional Method and Rebar CAD/CAM System. The Conventional Method is done manually. In this, Bar Bending Schedule [BBS] is created manually and all the calculations which are needed for this are done manually. Rebar CAD/CAM System proposes a business-to-business [B2B] e-Work system to improve the approval process for Bar Bending Schedule [BBS]. This system is composed of extensible mark-up language-based databases that support essential tasks of the approval process such as design and revision of structural drawings, bidding, shop drawing preparation, revision, and correction, and rebar delivery.
